1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account or using LingoLearn in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and LingoLearn.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use LingoLearn. If you are under 18, you represent that you have obtained parental or guardian consent to use the platform. By using LingoLearn, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

3. Account Registration

• You may register using your email address and a password, or by signing in with Google.
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials.
• You agree to provide accurate and complete information when creating your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.
• You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• Use LingoLearn for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws.
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the platform, other users' accounts, or our systems.
• Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the platform.
• Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access or collect data from the platform without our written consent.
• Impersonate another person or entity, or misrepresent your affiliation with any person or entity.
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users, including teachers and classmates.
• Share, redistribute, or commercially exploit LingoLearn's content, lessons, or AI-generated materials without permission.

5. Classroom Features

LingoLearn includes classroom functionality where teachers can create classes, assign work, and view student progress. By joining a class:

• You consent to your teacher viewing your username, assignment scores, and learning progress within that class.
• Teachers are responsible for managing their classes appropriately and in compliance with any applicable educational policies.
• Class invite codes should not be shared publicly without the teacher's consent.

6. AI-Generated Content

LingoLearn uses artificial intelligence to generate lessons, exercises, and feedback. While we strive for accuracy, AI-generated content may occasionally contain errors. LingoLearn does not guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of AI-generated materials. You should not rely solely on LingoLearn as your only source of language education.

7. Custom LLM Configuration

LingoLearn allows users to configure a custom AI model endpoint and API key. If you choose to use this feature:

• You are solely responsible for any costs incurred through your custom AI provider.
• You are responsible for ensuring your use of third-party AI services complies with their respective terms of service.
• LingoLearn is not liable for any issues arising from the use of third-party AI services.

8. Intellectual Property

All content, design, code, and branding of LingoLearn, including but not limited to the platform interface, vocabulary databases, grammar guides, and AI lesson frameworks, are the intellectual property of LingoLearn and are protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our materials without explicit written permission.

9. Account Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our sole discretion, without prior notice, for conduct that we determine violates these Terms, is harmful to other users, or is otherwise objectionable. You may delete your account at any time through your profile settings.

10. Disclaimer of Warranties

LingoLearn is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the platform will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. We disclaim all warranties, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, LingoLearn and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the platform, whether based on warranty, contract, tort, or any other legal theory.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will always be available on this page with an updated effective date. By continuing to use LingoLearn after changes are posted, you agree to be bound by the revised Terms. We encourage you to review these Terms periodically.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction in which LingoLearn operates, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
